What is The Editor Economy?

Today, AI can generate information, analyze complex data, develop strategies, create content and recommend actions at a scale and speed previously unimaginable.

As organizational leaders, it is our role to ensure that our business and teams have a clear direction around what constitutes successful AI implementation and operation. Are we prepared to filter out what is the most important and accurate output for responsible success?

This shift is defined by the business era that we have coined as The Editor Economy.

Experienced Leaders Driving Technology Change

The Editor Economy
was founded by
Kelly Brooks, a Canadian technology entrepreneur and progressive start-up executive with more than 20 years of experience building, scaling and leading technology companies.

This is her fourth technology start-up.

Kelly’s career has given her a unique perspective on how technology moves from possibility to practical business value.

Her first technology company, SpeakFeel Corporation, delivered more than 500 cloud-based and mobile solutions, including work for organizations such as BlackBerry and Microsoft.

Kelly then co-founded Quarter4, an AI-driven predictive data and audience engagement company. Building artificial intelligence in 2019 looked very different than it does today. Quarter4 developed proprietary predictive technology using neural networks and years of historical data to generate insights for the sports and entertainment industry.

Kelly led the company from inception through growth and ultimately to its acquisition by FairPlay Sports Media in 2024.

Following the acquisition, she served as Chief Product Officer, helping integrate Quarter4’s proprietary technology across multiple business verticals.

A key realization has been that successful technology integrations require a solid and prepared landing spot.

Technology alone does not create transformation. Organizations do.

Why The Five Pillars?

The Editor Economy was created to help leadership teams answer those questions before rushing into implementation.

Our approach looks beyond technology to the organizational conditions that make successful AI adoption possible.

Through The Five Pillars of AI Readiness – Leadership, Process & Data, Technology & AI Adoption, People & Culture, and Governance & Risk – we help organizations understand where they stand today and what may need attention before they move forward.
